Crumpled Bedsheets is ideal for cloudy or rainy days, when you do not want to get out of bed because getting out of bed means dealing with the world. Or having to hunt and kill something in order to eat. Tip: have food brought to you in bed.

It is also a choice listening experience at dusk, when the fading light has not yet vanished and the oncoming night has a bittersweet feel to it, with a cup of tea; or late at night, while writing or studying, or lying in bed thinking about present and past mistakes when sleep proves to be elusive.

Some users also recommend listening to Crumpled Bedsheets on carb days when the only exercise you will do is thinking about exercise.

Tread lightly, there are feels here.

DURATION: 1 hour 18 min (19 tracks)
MOOD: Sombre, nostalgic, this pillow is my best friend.
NOTABLE ARTISTS: Little Dragon (Little Dragon; Nabuma Rubberband);  Sade (Lovers’ Rock; Soldier Of Love); Macy Gray (The ID; The Way); Michael Kiwanuka (Home Again); Lykke Li (Wounded Rhymes; I Never Learn); and Frank Ocean (Strawberry Swing; Channel Orange).

Author’s note: For as long as I can remember I have enjoyed making playlists. My iTunes is riddled with playlists I curate for almost any mood or occasion; I burn CDs for friends and family. Yep, old school, baby. I have flirted with the idea of joining for a while now. Last week I decided I would finally make the plunge. Cochlea, the newest section on the website and my profile on are the result. Now, I can walk up to people and tell them, “Hi, I am Rémy. I am playlists. What are you doing with your life?”
