While staying in Jeffreys Bay, in the Eastern Cape, I managed to make some time to explore the Tokyo Sexwale township. I am always astounded by how close such townships are to the plushest suburbs and urban developments. This is an aspect of South Africa that never ceases to make me uncomfortable. But that is what my search for context is all about, right? No one said it would be sunshine and roses.
